Koko is a self-taught artist who is currently based in London. As a natural explorer and someone who searches for a greater meaning in life, she was never satisfied with her desk job in London and wanted to explore the world. She travelled and has lived in a few places, most recently in North Africa where she taught English and participated in local exhibitions, before returning to London.
Her art expressed through paintings, and in writing, depicts life as she experiences it personally and as experienced by those around her. A lot of her paintings in North Africa were spiritually inclined and influenced by the local traditions. When she paints in this style, she said: “I just place my brush on the canvas and let it do the work.”
